Obama’s lack of constitutional eligibility to serve as POTUS aside, the single most criminal act of this president and his enablers is their brazen determination to torpedo our domestic and international economic superiority through unconstitutional executive, legislative and judicial fiat. Throughout our nation’s history, we have proven over and over again that the driving force behind our strength and prosperity has been our system of unrestrained free market enterprise. Government controlled socialist bureaucracies combined with burdensome taxation policies inevitably lead to clipping unemployment, authoritarian dependence, intellectual slavery and runaway entitlement mentality. For years the Chinese have known that they would be unable to defeat us due to this fact alone. Unrestrained innovation and ability to produce wealth has enabled us to achieve what China and the Soviet Union has been unable to accomplish through decades of communist control. By rendering our Constitution impotent through a process of progressive policies, the leadership of this country is condemning us to absolute failure and destruction. In all honesty, impeachment and censure for criminals such as these would be too light a punishment for such treason.
Since this past weekend, I have been touting the efforts of Steve Cooper at The Conservative Monster website in trying to get Glenn Beck to allow reasonable discussion concerning Obama’s eligibility to serve as POTUS. After his mocking attitude on Monday toward callers wishing to discuss the birth certificate issue, it is now more than apparent that Mr. Beck is willing to fight to the death in defense of every other issue regarding the US Constitution… EXCEPT Article II.

It should also be noted here that while Douglas Hagmann is a licensed investigator and has devoted an enormous amount of time investigating this case of intimidation and political thuggery, a certain amount of his credibility has, in the past, been brought into question. The egocentric conservative blogger and lawer, Debbie Schlussel had accused Mr. Hagmann of intellectual theft back in 2006 over his allegedly uncredited work on a piece he wrote on the war on terror. While this may or may not be true, it does remain a thorn in Hagmann’s side allowing those opposed to his investigative work to discredit him and raise questions concerning his professional integrity. In her attempt to further marginalize him, Ms. Schlussel also derogatorily portrayed Mr. Hagmann as a paranormal lunatic for his investigative work on Bigfoot and UFO activity.
In defense of Douglas Hagmann, allow me to remind the reader that Ms. Schlussel is what many conservative bloggers – myself included – consider to be a borderline narcissist. Back in 2006, she threatened many fellow conservative bloggers with legal action for posting an image of her’s on their websites, essentially stating that it constituted purposes beyond that of “fair use.” As I remember, it sparked a frenzy of artistic image renderings of Schlussel, mocking her attractive looks and self-centered attitude with the intent of conveying a singularly concerted message; “Get over yourself, lady… sheesh!”
A couple of days ago, I posted on Steve Cooper’s effort to rally 5000+ patriots for a project he dubbed “Operation FLOOD IT.” The object was to flood Glenn Beck’s radio show with phone calls on Monday, January 4th, requesting that he stop dismissing his supporters and end the media blackout on the issue of BHO’s constitutional ineligibility to serve as POTUS due to mounting evidence that he is NOT a natural born citizen of the United States. For far too long, Mr. Beck has ridiculed callers concerned about this blatant disregard for the US Constitution and the administration’s “all out war” to suppress the issue of Obama’s proof of citizenship.
Well, Monday morning was no different. After a dozen or so attempts at trying to get through, I figured the phone lines melted as Steve hopped. However, this was not the case as others I spoke with others who were able to get through. Many were hung up on and other’s who spoke with the call screener reported being placated with the assurance that Glenn was aware of their concerns and is addressing the issue on the air. Yeah, right. Beck spent a small portion of one segment mocking the “birthers” and strengthening his resolve to maintain that adherence to Article II of the US Constitution was not important despite several current and pending lawsuits to resolve the matter of BHO’s presidential eligibility.
On the air today, popular radio host Glenn Beck mocked “birthers” and claimed there is a concerted campaign to get those questioning Barack Obama’s constitutional eligibility onto the airwaves – a strategy Beck said would actually benefit Obama.
“There’s always games being played behind the scenes at a talk radio show,” Beck said. “Rush has always called them seminar callers. But instead of being coy with the seminar callers or with you, I’m just going to expose the game that is going on. Today there is a concerted effort on all radio stations to get birthers on the air.”
“I have to tell you, are you working for the Barack Obama administration?” Beck scoffed. “I mean, that’s the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard.”
The ongoing dialogue then spun off into ridicule as Beck caricatured those who question the sitting president’s eligibility with straw-man arguments reminiscent of jibes made by Obama’s apologists in other news outlets.
Beck defined birthers as people who believe Obama was born in Kenya or other foreign country, was raised as a Manchurian candidate and somehow brainwashed Hillary Clinton into not exposing his fraud. According to Beck’s running joke, birthers believe someone – maybe Obama’s KGB “control” – preemptively placed Obama’s birth announcement in 1961 Hawaiian newspapers with a “roadmap” of getting an African man into office.
As for Obama producing a long-form birth certificate to actually prove his place of birth, Beck questioned, “Why do that when these people ['birthers'] are so discrediting themselves?”
The radio host further argued that by distracting the public from actionable issues, “birthers” have become “a dream come true” for Obama, an ideal situation akin to the fantasies of adolescent boys after Hollywood bombshells.
“Barack Obama looks at the birthers as Megan Fox,” Beck said, referring to the star and sex symbol of the popular “Transformers” films.

Frankly, folks, what pisses me off is the fact that Mr. Beck is so damned concerned about due deference to the US Constitution, yet he is defiantly choosing to ignore one of the most essential underpinnings of the sacred document he claims to be protecting. That, my friends, is called HYPOCRISY!

Over the past couple of years, I have grown to admire Glenn Beck. Shortly after his economic doomsday prophecies while still at CNN, I started listening to his radio show. He claimed to be neither Republican nor Democrat and for the ideological reasons he proclaimed, I couldn’t help but almost completely agree with him. For most of my life, I knew that most politicians we full of shit and Glenn helped me open my eyes to the reasons why.
With the Republican party selling their soul for the assumed benefit of appealing to “centrist” Americans, they have been adopting more and more liberal and socialist ideology at an ever increasing rate. For this reason I have decided to rip up my Republican voter registration card halfway through GWB’s second administration and I officially joined the Conservative party. As I immersed myself into our country’s history – more specifically, its founding – and took an even closer look at my personal convictions, I came to the conclusion that my political leanings were more accurately defined as being Conservative-Libertarian. Regardless of their misgivings, I still feel that there is hope for the Republican party and I also believe that supporting third-party candidates will prevent the Republicans from regaining control of the White House. However, if the Republican party continues to pursue “centrist” policies, they will also continue to loose my support, but I digress…
Glenn Beck has been a firebrand against the status quo in Washington DC, especially with the formation of the 9-12 Project and his exposure of Obama’s communist advisors (czars) and ACORN. He has not only become feared by the Liberal establishment, but also by “centrist” Republicans and RINOs as well. However, over the course of the past year, Glenn has been very dismissive of the issues relating to Obama’s refusal to produce actual and verifiable proof that he is indeed an actual citizen of the United States, qualified under the Constitution to hold the office of President. With mounting evidence pointing to the conclusion that he is NOT in-fact qualified, why does Glenn continue to skirt the issue? In the past, he has said something to the effect that even if Obama was found to be unqualified, what would removing him from office accomplish? For someone who cries incessantly on the Constitution, how can Glenn possibly continue to be so indifferent to the application of its 2nd Article?
Article II of the United States Constitution states, and I quote…
“No person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any Person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty-five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States.”
Last night, I came across a blog post by Steve Cooper over at The Conservative Monster. He posted an interview he did with Pastor James David Manning on December 31, 2009 – just 3 days ago. During the interview he described an action of civil disobedience he was planning for this Monday, January 4, 2010 dubbed Operation FLOOD IT. Basically, he is requesting that all “birthers” (those who are not satisfied with Obama’s lame attempt at proving natural born status as eligibility for holding the highest office in America) call into Glen Beck’s radio show and chide him for his apparent Constitutional hypocrisy.

Well, yesterday was quite a day. The response to our call to action has been overwhelming. We have almost 100,000 signatures on our letter challenging Obama’s flawed policy of trying the terrorists/war criminals who murdered our family & friends on September 11, 2001 in civilian federal courts.

We are at the precipice of an historic and devastating shift in global socio-economics. For better than a century, communist social engineers have been hard at work devising the complete takeover of free market society and are about to see their dreams of world-wide control come to fruition. One of the very first systems of control in the United States was organized in the early 20th century was the establishment of the Federal Reserve. By strapping the nation in debt, progressives sought to lay the foundation of eventual economic collapse. It was heralded as sound means of controlling the nation’s monetary system, but from its inception, those who devised this method of financial slavery knew that in the end, only those in control of it would retain the spoils of victory.
The first storm has formed and is gathering more strength with the passing of each day. Through years of indoctrinating America’s youth into believing that only by the collective spirit, can societies truly prosper, and demonizing the very principles that made our country the greatest nation in the world, academic elitists have been able to effectively lead the sheep to their slaughter, and as the majority of our nation’s citizens lie fast asleep – preoccupied with their selfish motivations – the most powerful financial system in the world was slowly being brought to its knees. With the burst of the real estate bubble, our economy was left in near ruin. This, in turn, prompted those responsible for orchestrating the disaster in the first place to move against the mortgage and banking industry in order to place control of it into the their own hands – the hands of power hungry politicians – the last place anything should be entrusted for salvation.
Then, without pause, Washington set to work on taking control of the nation’s health care system. Mandating coverage of all citizenry not only would give them the glory of appearing to be the provider of heath for every man, woman, and child – securing votes through dependence on government subsidies – but would also line the pockets of union officials, government contracted health care entities and special interest groups who, in turn, would funnel money back to the politicians who keep them fat and happy through campaign contributions and other “legitimate” loopholed kickbacks. The darker side of the reason why progressives want to control the nations health care system is their desire to effectively maintain population control through their mandates of free abortion, sterilization and euthanasia. The second storm has formed.
As if two storms wasn’t bad enough, there is now a third storm looming on the horizon which, if it goes to a full category 5 as I fear it will, has the propensity of combining with the first two, creating an economic disaster of biblical proportions. This storm will be the death kneel for the United States of America and will mercilessly ravage what little vestiges of freedom and security we have left. This monster was spawned under the lie that carbon emissions have a direct impact on the changes in our earth’s climate. First, they tried to attribute the rise in man made carbon dioxide to the descent in global temperatures. In the 1970s, they proclaimed that the Earth was heading toward a new ice age. When that didn’t pan out due to the “unexpected” INCREASE in global temperatures, they quickly moved to recast it as “global warming.” On cue, they tried to attribute the rise in man made carbon dioxide to the RISE in global temperatures. They claimed that in only a scant few years the earth would overheat, burn up everything and wipe out humanity. When that didn’t pan out due to the “unexpected” DECLINE in global temperatures, they quickly moved to recast it as “global climate change.”
Now, with the last free nation in the world fallen into the hands of socialist political control, the wealthiest and most powerful are moving at breakneck speed to drop the hammer and complete the deal ensuring the enslavement of all humanity.
This is not a conspiracy theory, folks. What I share with you here is not a hodgepodge of unsubstantiated fact or innuendo. California atheist activist Michael Newdow is renewing his fight to remove reference to God from the Pledge of Allegiance, this time with a suit filed on behalf of an anonymous New Hampshire couple against a school district.
The couple, an agnostic and atheist with three children, say in their complaint that they “generally, deny that God exists” and contend their constitutional rights are violated when school authorities require their children to “participate in making the purely religious, monotheistic claim that the United States is ‘one nation under God.’”
Newdow previously sued over the inclusion of “under God” in the pledge, but his claims were rejected by the U.S. Supreme Court in 2004 on technical grounds. The self-described atheist said he did not want his third-grade daughter to have to listen to the phrase “under God” in a public school.
Five justices, however, found Newdow did not have the legal standing to bring the case. He never married the child’s mother, who has expressed support for having “under God” in the pledge.

As reported in two scientific papers published today, reprogramming is now the future of stem cell research and renders ethically controversial therapeutic cloning obsolete.
Ever since the debate of embryo-destructive stem-cell research began in earnest in 1998 when researchers at the University of Wisconsin first isolated human embryonic stem cells, we’ve known that the best overall answer to the ethical impasse would be a solution that both allows the search for stem-cell related cures to go foreword, while doing so without harming or destroying embryonic human life in the process.
We now have that solution.
Two major scientific papers published today in Science and Cell offer proof of principle research to show that it is possible to generate patient-matched pluripotent stem cells without human cloning and its attendant moral pitfalls: the need to harvest and use human eggs from female donors and the subsequent destruction of cloned human embryos. Both studies used reprogramming of adult human cells to generate stem cells known as “induced pluripotent state cells†(iPSCs) that have all the properties of human embryonic stem cells.

American doctors said it could also herald a landmark in the treatment of other neurological disorders, such as Alzheimer’s or epilepsy but there was a lingering doubt that the reports by a dozen patients of improvements of up to 65 per cent in mobility could be anecdotal or due to the placebo effect.
Today, Prof David Eidelberg of the of The Feinstein Institute for Medical Research in Manhasset, New York, and colleagues report in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences evidence that the brain chemistry of the patients has been altered by gene therapy, ending concerns that the evidence that it worked depended too much on what the patients said and not enough on objective measures. “It is the first solid evidence of benefit from gene therapy. It is objective,” Prof Eidelberg told The Daily Telegraph.
Parkinson’s affects about 120,000 people in Britain, with 10,000 new cases diagnosed every year. It robs sufferers of the ability to walk and even eat, causes long motionless periods known as “freezing” as well as head and limb tremors. As the disease progresses, higher doses of drugs are required, leading to side-effects that include involuntary movements.
Sufferers include the former world boxing champion Muhammad Ali and the actor Michael J Fox.

Then, in what may appear to be a completely unrelated issue, the Supreme Court has decided to take up the issue of socialist gun control in Washington D.C…
(CNSNews.com) – The U.S. Supreme Court announced on Tuesday that it will decide whether the ban on owning guns in the District of Columbia is constitutional, a pivotal case that could determine if the Second Amendment to the U.S. Constitution protects the right to own firearms.
At issue is a 31-year-old Washington, D.C., law banning handguns and requiring that all shotguns and rifles be kept unloaded and either trigger-locked or disassembled at all times. There is no exception for self-defense.
“The Bill of Rights does not end at the District of Columbia’s borders, and it includes the right to keep and bear arms,” said Alan Gura, lead counsel for the plaintiffs in Heller v. District of Columbia.
“After three decades of failure trying to control firearms in the District, it’s time for law-abiding city residents to be able to defend themselves in their homes,” Gura added. “We are confident the Supreme Court will vindicate that right in Washington, D.C., and across the nation.”
Dick Heller, a District resident who works as an armed security guard during the day but is forbidden by District law from keeping a handgun at home to protect himself, explained: “I want to be able to defend myself and my wife from violent criminals, and the Constitution says I have a right to do that by keeping a gun in my home.”

For years now, D.C. has had one of the highest violent crime rates in the entire nation. Is it any wonder? They also have the most restrictive gun laws in the entire nation! Law abiding citizens are not permitted to bear arms in order to protect themselves or their families in the event of an armed attack!!! Two days ago when the National Right to Life Committee indicated that it was going to endorse Fred Thompson for President, the story got all but a quarter of a day’s worth of attention and then fell silent. Ok, perhaps they didn’t want push a “rumor” to the headlines, and I can understand that. Then, yesterday they made the endorsement official, the story never made top headlines, had 15 minutes of fame and then appeared to die a quiet death. No flashing siren on Drudge’s site, no “Breaking News” from FOX, absolutely NO mention at all over at World Net Daily (until I emailed Dave Kupelian and read him the riot act), and little if any mention or the story at most of the Christian news sites I am aware of.

Regardless, they have always been “Johnny on the spot” when it came to reporting EVERY news story that dealt with the fight to end abortion and protect the sanctity of life. I have even contributed to several stories they later reported on and on the surface it appeared I had a good working relationship with editor David Kupelian. I must say that I am deeply saddened and disappointed with WND over this issue.
Then, this evening, I read this story over at the Washington Times about one of Mitt Romney’s backers questioning NRLC’s endorsement of Fred Thompson, suggesting that it was due to Thompson greasing the organization’s palms!!!
Some pro-life advocates were astonished by the National Right to Life Committee’s endorsement of Republican presidential hopeful Fred Thompson yesterday — a move they say puts politics over principle.
Paul M. Weyrich, president of the Free Congress Foundation, said the endorsement “makes no sense,” and speculated that it had been motivated by money.
“I think in all probability the Thompson people were engaged with the National Right to Life people in financial dealing,” said Mr. Weyrich, who has endorsed former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney for the Republican nomination.
“In the past, the Republican Party has funded National Right to Life, and while the committee can raise money on its own, it needs funding” from outside sources.
“Fred Thompson has a 100 percent pro-life voting record in the U.S. Senate and is proud to have the endorsement of an organization that fights to protect human life,” said Thompson spokesman Darrel Ng.
David O’Stein, the committee’s executive director, also scoffed at the assertion.
“He’s got to be joking,” Mr. O’Stein said. “There is absolutely no financial arrangement between the committee and the Thompson campaign or Fred Thompson.”

Word is out that Presidential candidate Fred Thompson is about to get one ofthe most important endorsement any candidate running for that office can receive.
INDIANOLA, Iowa (AP) – Fred Thompson will be endorsed for president by the National Right to Life Committee, Republicans say.
The endorsement by the prominent anti-abortion group could give a boost to the campaign of the Republican former Tennessee senator, who has seen his poll numbers drop in recent weeks and has failed to become the consensus candidate for conservatives.
The decision was disclosed Monday by two Republicans who spoke on condition of anonymity in advance of the announcement that was expected Tuesday.

The National Right to Life Committee has the support of millions of Americans fed up and determined to end a holocaust that has claimed nearly 50,000,000 unborn children since the Supreme Court’s ruling on Roe v. Wade back almost 35 years ago. With the possibility of two Supreme Court vacancies upcoming within the next presidential term and a strong likelihood that two more constructionist justices would all but guarantee that terrible decision’s reversal, those who have fought so long for this opportunity are not going to let it slip through their fingers. Despite attempts by other candidates and opponents who have tried to cast doubt on Thompson’s pro-life record, the facts appear to speak clearly enough to have convinced the most highly recognized anti-abortion group in the nation to endorse the man they feel has the best chance of winning the 2008 presidential race and achieving that which they have fought so long to achieve. Will it mean the end of abortion in America? No, not by a long shot, but it would be a crushing defeat to the culture of death and would give us a strong foundation to build national acceptance of unborn children as the most innocent and defenseless among us who deserves our highest level of protection. For if not the defense of the most innocent and defenseless among us, whom should our President defend?

For over two centuries, we as a nation have recognized the inclusion of Almighty God and the importance of His Divine Providence in the creation and moral stewardship of these United States of America. The California American Legion is calling on the Department of Veterans Affairs to reconsider a ban that effectively removes “God” from honor guard flag folding ceremonies at veterans’ funerals.
Several legion leaders say the ban might as well be rescinded, because it will be ignored anyway.
A memo from Steve Muro, director of the Veterans Affairs’ office of field programs, bans use of a recitation about the meaning of the 13 folds of the flag, which produce the famous star-covered triangle. The recitation references God several times.
“Effective immediately all national cemeteries are to refrain from distributing any handouts on ‘The Meaning of Each Fold of an Honor Guard Funeral Flag,’ remove any postings from all cemetery buildings and discontinue our VA-Sponsored Volunteer Honor Guards from using the handout as a script at a committal service during the folding of the flag,” the directive said.

This is yet another attempt by atheists and secularists to expunge any and all government references to God from our American heritage. Their actions, disguised as a politically correct pursuit to protect civil liberties, are in reality, a thinly veiled attack on the most sacred freedoms we cherish – namely, our freedoms of speech and religion.
As it was so eloquently stated by the director of the Defense of Veterans Memorials Project for the American Legion Department of California, Rees Lloyd:
“We in the California American Legion have called on the VA to reconsider and rescind its outrageous ban and allow the families of the deceased veterans to determine what will or will not be included in the military funeral service,” he said.
“Our American Legion Riverside Post 79 MHD Team 12 has also stated we will defy the ban and follow the wishes of the families,” he said. “Such issues should be decided by the veterans’ families, not by bureaucrats and lawyers in Washington, D.C., covering their own behinds in [fear] of lawsuits by the ACLU and others of its ilk on behalf of disgruntled atheists, agnostics, liberal secular-cleansing fanatics, or Islamist jihadists who are offended by references to God.
“We will defy them and the VA itself and conduct the military services as the families dictate, not as government bureaucrats and bureaucratic lawyers dictate,” he said.
The Establishment Clause of the First Amendment of the United States Constitution states:
“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof;”
To the best of my knowledge, Congress did not make any law that established a religion – even though sometimes it feels like they expect us to pay them homage through their absurd taxation laws.
After posting about John McCain’s hypocracy in his comments about Rudy’s Second Amendment stance, I happened to be reading a post over at SondraK’s site which reminded me about Fred Thompson’s support of McCain-Feingold Campaign Finance Reform.
Fred Thompson finally made clear his position on the statist campaign finance restrictions embodied in the McCain-Feingold bill. And conservatives are clearly not going to be pleased.
When the former star of TV’s “Law and Order†series and newly-minted presidential candidate spoke to reporters on the porch of the Grand Hotel here, I asked Thompson whether he was proud of his role in enacting the McCain-Feingold campaign finance reform legislation in ‘01.
“Yes,” replied the former Tennessee senator without hesitation.
To be honest, I completely forgot about his involvement in getting that legislation passed through the Senate. In researching this flub on Thompson’s part, I found a post over at Michelle Malkin’s site, HotAir.com, that has an interview between Fred Thompson and Laura Ingraham, where Laura grills Fred over his support of the McCain-Feingold bill.
As for the rest of the article from Human Events, Thompson goes on to admit that the reform bill did not produce the results he expected and states that he intends to revisit the details of that piece of legislation which many conservatives agree was one of the worst infringements on America’s right to freedom of speech in recent history.
…”You will recall that the central part of the legislation was getting rid of soft money [from the political process].” He then went on to remind me that he came from a background in the private sector and, in that sector, it would have been thought unseemly for “hundreds of thousands of dollars” to be poured in to influence someone’s decision. In the public arena, “it got to be the norm” because of the soft money, upon which there were no limits for donations to the two major political parties.” The contributors, he said, would then, “harass legislators before they vote on anything. This was not a good idea.”

Thompson went on to remind me that it was his amendment to McCain-Feingold that, “raised the hard money index” and he was also proud of that.
If there is anything in McCain-Feingold that “has not worked out,” he went to say, it is “placing limitations on ads [by independent groups] in the [political] process. Thompson hinted that he would support legislation to change this, since “the Supreme Court has better things to do with its time than hear cases on unfair limitation.” (Earlier this year, by a decision of 5-to-4, the Supreme Court struck down parts of McCain-Feingold that dealt with limiting ads by independent groups.) He also said that the landmark campaign finance legislation he held shepherd to passage (and which President Bush signed in ‘01) has created a larger bureaucracy to enforce regulations and “that part hasn’t worked out.”

I do hope that he is sincere about fixing that ridiculous law and hopefully he will avoid throwing stones in glass houses or slipping in any hypocritical piles of dog shit as well. That being said, IMO, Fred would still make a damned good and strong leader.
It appears to me that presidential hopeful, Senator John McCain likes throwing stones inside his little house of glass. During an NRA gathering to hear the GOP candidates tout their positions on the second amendment, Rudy Giuliani tried desperately to mask his left of center view on the subject to which many of the other candidates and pundits found an opportunity to throw stones of ridicule at him. Of course, there is always one in the crowd who slips in his own hypocritical pile of dog shit.

A cell-phone call interrupted Republican presidential hopeful Rudolph Giuliani in midspeech at an NRA forum at the Capital Hilton in Washington yesterday. It was his wife, Judith.
Rudolph W. Giuliani yesterday assured members of the National Rifle Association he would protect their Second Amendment rights while his rivals for the 2008 Republican presidential nomination criticized his inconsistent record.

Yesterday, there were people all around him — in the audience and, one by one, at the podium — who did not agree with him. Sen. John McCain of Arizona struck first, telling group members they need to “dig into a politician’s record to find out where they really stand.”

With the possibility of another SCOTUS opening being a reality within a few years, the next POTUS to occupy the White House will certainly have an important roll in shaping the future of our federal judicial branch of government. As some of the most important social issues in our country’s history make their way to the steps of the Supreme Court, we will need at least one more strict constructionist judiciary in place in order to prevent liberal/globalist decisions from destroying our Constitution.
I just so happens that two of these Supreme Court Justices, responsible for many of the most liberal SCOTUS decisions, are also the two oldest. John Paul Stevens, the eldest of the nine at 87, was appointed by Jimmy Carter in 1975 and Ruth Bader Ginsburg, second eldest at 74 and former General Council of the ACLU, was appointed by B.J. Clinton in 1993.
With Fred Thompson now having officially thrown his hat in the ring as a Presidential contender, his stance on the sensitive nature of our Constitution therefor becomes a priority issue. IMO, Fred believes deeply in the sanctity of our Constitution and knows that the only way of protecting it is to appoint strict constructionist judges to federal court positions.

Authorities “can do whatever they want to with abortion doctors, as far as I’m concerned,” the former Tennessee senator said while campaigning in Western Iowa according to the Los Angeles Times. But “if it comes down to giving criminal sanctions to a 19-year-old girl and her mama, I’m against that.”
While acknowledging that as lawyer and lobbyist, he worked in 1991 and 1992 for a group fighting restrictions on abortion counseling he said that once in the Senate he “voted against these people and everything they were interested in,” he said.
Speaking to crowds during his Iowa appearances, Thompson revealed his views on a variety of issues, including activist judges, gay marriage and illegal immigration.
· Thompson chastised those judges in Iowa, Massachusetts and other states for rulings that opened the way to same-sex marriage, calling for constitutional amendments to curb judges’ power to do so.
“What we’re seeing here is a totally judicially created problem,” he told a crowd in Sioux City, Iowa according to the Times. “You know how many states have affirmatively approved gay marriage? State legislatures? Zero.”
He also said he backed a constitutional amendment to prevent states from being forced to recognize a same-sex marriage performed in another state under “some off-the-wall court decision, “and called for an amendment to bar judges from allowing same-sex marriage in a state unless that state’s its legislature had approved it.

Fred Thompson has also said publicly on several occasions that Roe v. Wade is bad law and that he would work to have the quarter century old decision overturned. Unfortunately, there are some conservatives who disagree with Thompson’s stance on abortion saying that just getting the SCOTUS to overturn Roe v. Wade does not go far enough and that an amendment should be added to the constitution to protect unborn children, which at present, Thompson appears to be against.
IMO, the overturning of Roe v. Wade should only be considered a first step toward legally protecting the unborn. The next step should be to convince the majority of states to enact and enforce laws that explicitly recognize the human status of unborn children. The hearts and minds of 3/4 majority our country’s citizens must first be changed. Only then can the concept of a federal amendment to the Constitution be truly realized.
Regardless of amending the Constitution, Fred Thompson will certainly fight to ensure that our country’s most sacred document will be protected by Judges who are committed to doing the same and THAT is what is highest on my list of requirements for electing our next President of these United States of America.
