In 2007, the most comprehensive report to date on global warming, issued by the respected United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, made a shocking claim: The Himalayan glaciers could melt away as soon as 2035.
These glaciers provide the headwaters for Asia’s nine largest rivers and lifelines for the more than one billion people who live downstream. Melting ice and snow would create mass flooding, followed by mass drought. The glacier story was reported around the world. Last December, a spokesman for the World Wildlife Fund, an environmental pressure group, warned, “The deal reached at Copenhagen will have huge ramifications for the lives of hundreds of millions of people who are already highly vulnerable due to widespread poverty.” To dramatize their country’s plight, Nepal’s top politicians strapped on oxygen tanks and held a cabinet meeting on Mount Everest.
But the claim was rubbish, and the world’s top glaciologists knew it. It was based not on rigorously peer-reviewed science but on an anecdotal report by the WWF itself. When its background came to light on the eve of Copenhagen, Rajendra Pachauri, the head of the IPCC, shrugged it off. But now, even leading scientists and environmental groups admit the IPCC is facing a crisis of credibility that makes the Climategate affair look like small change.
“The global warming movement as we have known it is dead,” the brilliant analyst Walter Russell Mead says in his blog on The American Interest. It was done in by a combination of bad science and bad politics…

That’s all well and good, but if you think it’s going to change policy in Washington, you don’t know the progressive movement behind the modern Democrat party.
Marxist organization’s are gearing up for the 2010 Congressional campaigns by HIRING people for $24K per year plus medical benefits to be “grassroots” activists to counter the rising tide against Democrat candidates who are up for election in November.
Help-wanted ads are appearing on Craigslist that offer to pay citizens $24,000 a year, plus health insurance, to “counter the hysteria and lies of Glenn Beck and other talking heads” and “stop the tea-baggers!”
The ads are being posted by Grassroots Campaigns, a canvassing group that has performed services for the Democratic National Committee and MoveOn.org. Its postings can be found among Craiglist listings in Chicago, Ill.; San Francisco, Calif.; Boston, Mass.; Philadelphia, Penn. and Austin, Texas.
“Whose agenda will win in 2010?” the ad asks. “You decide.”

It continues, “Change takes work. After the 2008 election, we know what’s possible when millions of people commit themselves to creating the world they want to see – but we also know that one election is only the beginning. Across the country, the struggle for human rights, marriage equality, and reproductive rights continues. To counter the hysteria and lies of Glenn Beck and other talking heads, progressives need to get organized and get activated – and we don’t have a moment to lose!!”
Grassroots Campaigns explains that it is seeking to immediately hire directors to run 32 canvass offices across the nation in the following locations: California, Colorado, Illinois, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New York, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Texas, Washington and Washington, D.C.

This is nothing new, folks. These leftist asshats have been doing the astro-turf thinggy for years now. During the Bush years, Moveon.org and other Marxist organization have been busing in paid activists to Democrat rallys in order to boost the appearance of their turnout numbers in the attempt of giving viewers of the MSM the impression of majority support for their causes. The difference here is that they are becoming so desperate for support that they are openly advertising to fill their ranks.

Since this past weekend, I have been touting the efforts of Steve Cooper at The Conservative Monster website in trying to get Glenn Beck to allow reasonable discussion concerning Obama’s eligibility to serve as POTUS. After his mocking attitude on Monday toward callers wishing to discuss the birth certificate issue, it is now more than apparent that Mr. Beck is willing to fight to the death in defense of every other issue regarding the US Constitution… EXCEPT Article II.

This radio show was hosted by Dr. Laurie Roth of The Laurie Roth Show. During this show, Laurie talks with Judi McLeod, Editor of Canada Free Press and Douglas Hagmann, Director of the Northeast Intelligence Network about an investigation that uncovered alleged FCC intimidation against major news media outlets, both TV and radio. Mr. Hagmann claims that he has statements from a very famous national talk show host – who remains undisclosed – describing the event…

It should also be noted here that while Douglas Hagmann is a licensed investigator and has devoted an enormous amount of time investigating this case of intimidation and political thuggery, a certain amount of his credibility has, in the past, been brought into question. The egocentric conservative blogger and lawer, Debbie Schlussel had accused Mr. Hagmann of intellectual theft back in 2006 over his allegedly uncredited work on a piece he wrote on the war on terror. While this may or may not be true, it does remain a thorn in Hagmann’s side allowing those opposed to his investigative work to discredit him and raise questions concerning his professional integrity. In her attempt to further marginalize him, Ms. Schlussel also derogatorily portrayed Mr. Hagmann as a paranormal lunatic for his investigative work on Bigfoot and UFO activity.
In defense of Douglas Hagmann, allow me to remind the reader that Ms. Schlussel is what many conservative bloggers – myself included – consider to be a borderline narcissist. Back in 2006, she threatened many fellow conservative bloggers with legal action for posting an image of her’s on their websites, essentially stating that it constituted purposes beyond that of “fair use.” As I remember, it sparked a frenzy of artistic image renderings of Schlussel, mocking her attractive looks and self-centered attitude with the intent of conveying a singularly concerted message; “Get over yourself, lady… sheesh!”
A couple of days ago, I posted on Steve Cooper’s effort to rally 5000+ patriots for a project he dubbed “Operation FLOOD IT.” The object was to flood Glenn Beck’s radio show with phone calls on Monday, January 4th, requesting that he stop dismissing his supporters and end the media blackout on the issue of BHO’s constitutional ineligibility to serve as POTUS due to mounting evidence that he is NOT a natural born citizen of the United States. For far too long, Mr. Beck has ridiculed callers concerned about this blatant disregard for the US Constitution and the administration’s “all out war” to suppress the issue of Obama’s proof of citizenship.
Well, Monday morning was no different. After a dozen or so attempts at trying to get through, I figured the phone lines melted as Steve hopped. However, this was not the case as others I spoke with others who were able to get through. Many were hung up on and other’s who spoke with the call screener reported being placated with the assurance that Glenn was aware of their concerns and is addressing the issue on the air. Yeah, right. Beck spent a small portion of one segment mocking the “birthers” and strengthening his resolve to maintain that adherence to Article II of the US Constitution was not important despite several current and pending lawsuits to resolve the matter of BHO’s presidential eligibility.
On the air today, popular radio host Glenn Beck mocked “birthers” and claimed there is a concerted campaign to get those questioning Barack Obama’s constitutional eligibility onto the airwaves – a strategy Beck said would actually benefit Obama.
“There’s always games being played behind the scenes at a talk radio show,” Beck said. “Rush has always called them seminar callers. But instead of being coy with the seminar callers or with you, I’m just going to expose the game that is going on. Today there is a concerted effort on all radio stations to get birthers on the air.”
“I have to tell you, are you working for the Barack Obama administration?” Beck scoffed. “I mean, that’s the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard.”
The ongoing dialogue then spun off into ridicule as Beck caricatured those who question the sitting president’s eligibility with straw-man arguments reminiscent of jibes made by Obama’s apologists in other news outlets.
Beck defined birthers as people who believe Obama was born in Kenya or other foreign country, was raised as a Manchurian candidate and somehow brainwashed Hillary Clinton into not exposing his fraud. According to Beck’s running joke, birthers believe someone – maybe Obama’s KGB “control” – preemptively placed Obama’s birth announcement in 1961 Hawaiian newspapers with a “roadmap” of getting an African man into office.
As for Obama producing a long-form birth certificate to actually prove his place of birth, Beck questioned, “Why do that when these people ['birthers'] are so discrediting themselves?”
The radio host further argued that by distracting the public from actionable issues, “birthers” have become “a dream come true” for Obama, an ideal situation akin to the fantasies of adolescent boys after Hollywood bombshells.
“Barack Obama looks at the birthers as Megan Fox,” Beck said, referring to the star and sex symbol of the popular “Transformers” films.

Frankly, folks, what pisses me off is the fact that Mr. Beck is so damned concerned about due deference to the US Constitution, yet he is defiantly choosing to ignore one of the most essential underpinnings of the sacred document he claims to be protecting. That, my friends, is called HYPOCRISY!
With the apparent success of Operation FLOOD IT, due to the overwhelming positive response Steve Cooper received, he has decided to take his cause to the next level. Starting today, the new plan of attack has been officially dubbed Operation Special Prosecutor…
…We all know Glenn is a patriot, BUT he is also participating in this news blackout. There are reports that Fox news was allegedly threatened with FCC intimidation if they reported this issue. Other networks were allegedly threatened as well, to keep this story OUT OF THE NEWS.

Over the past couple of years, I have grown to admire Glenn Beck. Shortly after his economic doomsday prophecies while still at CNN, I started listening to his radio show. He claimed to be neither Republican nor Democrat and for the ideological reasons he proclaimed, I couldn’t help but almost completely agree with him. For most of my life, I knew that most politicians we full of shit and Glenn helped me open my eyes to the reasons why.
With the Republican party selling their soul for the assumed benefit of appealing to “centrist” Americans, they have been adopting more and more liberal and socialist ideology at an ever increasing rate. For this reason I have decided to rip up my Republican voter registration card halfway through GWB’s second administration and I officially joined the Conservative party. As I immersed myself into our country’s history – more specifically, its founding – and took an even closer look at my personal convictions, I came to the conclusion that my political leanings were more accurately defined as being Conservative-Libertarian. Regardless of their misgivings, I still feel that there is hope for the Republican party and I also believe that supporting third-party candidates will prevent the Republicans from regaining control of the White House. However, if the Republican party continues to pursue “centrist” policies, they will also continue to loose my support, but I digress…
Glenn Beck has been a firebrand against the status quo in Washington DC, especially with the formation of the 9-12 Project and his exposure of Obama’s communist advisors (czars) and ACORN. He has not only become feared by the Liberal establishment, but also by “centrist” Republicans and RINOs as well. However, over the course of the past year, Glenn has been very dismissive of the issues relating to Obama’s refusal to produce actual and verifiable proof that he is indeed an actual citizen of the United States, qualified under the Constitution to hold the office of President. With mounting evidence pointing to the conclusion that he is NOT in-fact qualified, why does Glenn continue to skirt the issue? In the past, he has said something to the effect that even if Obama was found to be unqualified, what would removing him from office accomplish? For someone who cries incessantly on the Constitution, how can Glenn possibly continue to be so indifferent to the application of its 2nd Article?
Article II of the United States Constitution states, and I quote…
“No person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any Person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty-five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States.”
Last night, I came across a blog post by Steve Cooper over at The Conservative Monster. He posted an interview he did with Pastor James David Manning on December 31, 2009 – just 3 days ago. During the interview he described an action of civil disobedience he was planning for this Monday, January 4, 2010 dubbed Operation FLOOD IT. Basically, he is requesting that all “birthers” (those who are not satisfied with Obama’s lame attempt at proving natural born status as eligibility for holding the highest office in America) call into Glen Beck’s radio show and chide him for his apparent Constitutional hypocrisy.

I pray to God this is not happening! If what I just read is true, our glorious leader, the Obamanition has signed away our sovereignty to the Global Gestapo. In the dead of night on December 17, 2009, President Barack Hussein Obama placed the United States of America under the authority of the international police organization known as INTERPOL, granting the organization full immunity to operate within the United States.
Last Thursday, December 17, 2009, The White House released an Executive Order “Amending Executive Order 12425.” It grants INTERPOL (International Criminal Police Organization) a new level of full diplomatic immunity afforded to foreign embassies and select other “International Organizations” as set forth in the United States International Organizations Immunities Act of 1945.
By removing language from President Reagan’s 1983 Executive Order 12425, this international law enforcement body now operates – now operates – on American soil beyond the reach of our own top law enforcement arm, the FBI, and is immune from Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA) requests.
What, exactly does this mean? It means that INTERPOL now has the full authority to conduct investigations and other law enforcement activities on U.S. soil, with full immunity from U.S. laws such as the Freedom of Information Act and with complete independence from oversight from the FBI.
In short, a global law enforcement entity now has full law-enforcement authority in the U.S. without any check on its power afforded by U.S. law and U.S. law enforcement agencies.

As we prepare to close out the first decade of the second millennium since Christ walked the earth, I pray that all of you who are reading this are prepared for what is now all but inevitable. Peace and strength be with you all… and God help us.
I know I said I would be doing light posting this week, leading up to Christmas, but as I also said, unless it would be “brief and/or rather important…” Well, in my book, this ranks pretty high on my list of things that are “rather important.”
There is scope for debate – and innumerable newspaper quizzes – about who was the most influential public figure of the year, or which the most significant event. But there can be little doubt which word won the prize for most important adjective. 2009 was the year in which “global” swept the rest of the political lexicon into obscurity. There were “global crises” and “global challenges”, the only possible resolution to which lay in “global solutions” necessitating “global agreements”. Gordon Brown actually suggested something called a “global alliance” in response to climate change. (Would this be an alliance against the Axis of Extra-Terrestrials?)
Some of this was sheer hokum: when uttered by Gordon Brown, the word “global”, as in “global economic crisis”, meant: “It’s not my fault”. To the extent that the word had intelligible meaning, it also had political ramifications that were scarcely examined by those who bandied it about with such ponderous self-importance. The mere utterance of it was assumed to sweep away any consideration of what was once assumed to be the most basic principle of modern democracy: that elected national governments are responsible to their own people – that the right to govern derives from the consent of the electorate.
The dangerous idea that the democratic accountability of national governments should simply be dispensed with in favour of “global agreements” reached after closed negotiations between world leaders never, so far as I recall, entered into the arena of public discussion. Except in the United States, where it became a very contentious talking point, the US still holding firmly to the 18th-century idea that power should lie with the will of the people.

Sen. Ben Nelson (Neb.), the final Democratic holdout on health care, announced to his caucus Saturday morning that he would support the Senate reform bill, clearing the way for final passage by Christmas.
“We’re there,” said Sen. Kent Conrad (D-N.D.), as he headed into a special meeting to outline the deal.
Democratic leaders spent days trying to hammer out a deal with Nelson, and worked late Friday night with him on abortion coverage language that had proved the major stumbling block. Nelson also secured other favors for his home state.
Under the new abortion provisions, states can opt out of allowing plans to cover abortion in insurance exchanges the bill would set up to serve individuals who don’t have employer coverage. Plus, enrollees in plans that do cover abortion procedures would pay for the coverage with separate checks – one for abortion, one for rest of health-care services.
Nelson secured full federal funding for his state to expand Medicaid coverage to all individuals below 133 percent of the federal poverty level. Other states must pay a small portion of the additional cost. He won concessions for qualifying nonprofit insurers and for Medigap providers from a new insurance tax. He also was able to roll back cuts to health savings accounts.
“I know this is hard for some of my colleagues to accept and I appreciate their right to disagree,” Nelson told reporters at the Capitol, of the many changes made at his behest. “But I would not have voted for this bill without these provisions.”
With Nelson on board, Senate Majority Leader Harry M. Reid unveiled the final version of a sweeping overhaul of the nation’s health insurance system that would expand coverage to an additional 31 million Americans, coming closer to attaining the Democrats’ long sought goal of universal medical coverage.

WASHINGTON (AP) – A moderate Democrat whose vote could be crucial said Thursday an attempted Senate compromise on abortion is unsatisfactory, raising doubts about whether the chamber can pass President Barack Obama’s health care overhaul by Christmas.
“As it is, without modifications, the language concerning abortion is not sufficient,” Nebraska Sen. Ben Nelson, a key holdout on the health care bill, said in a statement after first making his concerns known to Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev.
Nelson said there were positive improvements dealing with teen pregnancy and adoption, and that he was open to further negotiations. But in a radio interview earlier in the day with KLIN in Lincoln, Nebraska, Nelson also said that abortion wasn’t his only concern and he didn’t see how the Christmas deadline was achievable.
The development came with Senate leaders working round the clock trying to finalize their 10-year, nearly $1 trillion bill in time for a final vote on Christmas Eve. Nelson is emerging as a major obstacle – perhaps the only remaining one – since Democrats need his vote to have the 60 necessary to overcome Republican stalling tactics. [emphasis mine]
“Senator Reid will continue to work with Senator Nelson and other senators as we work to get 60 votes,” said Reid spokesman Jim Manley.
At the same time, liberals were criticizing the Senate bill for lacking a government-run insurance option, with former Democratic Party Chairman Howard Dean calling the measure a boon for insurance companies. Andrew Stern, head of the 2.1 million-member Service Employees International Union, said he was deeply disappointed in the bill but stopped short of urging rejection…

The attempted abortion compromise offered to Nelson was written by another anti-abortion Democrat, Bob Casey of Pennsylvania, among others, and was an attempt to secure Nelson’s support for the health care bill while also keeping liberals on board. It’s the Democrats’ latest attempt to strictly separate public and private money that could pay for abortion coverage under a remade health care system in which many lower-income people would be using new federal subsidies to buy health insurance.
Several previous attempts have been dismissed by Roman Catholic bishops and anti-abortion groups as accounting gimmicks, and this one looks like it may fare no better. The language has not been made public but is already drawing criticism from outside groups.
Speaking to reporters, Casey declined to directly address Nelson’s objections but said he would keep trying for a compromise.
“We’re trying to get this right,” Casey said. “I’ve had ideas on the table for a while now, I’m still working through them and we’ll keep talking to anyone who wants to discuss it…”

Back in September of 2007, I was alarmed at the language coming from the Vatican on the issue of global warming. Well, today there is news of the Pontiff weighing in on the issue once again, just in time for the gathering at Copenhagen.
VATICAN CITY (Reuters) – Industrialized nations must recognize their responsibility for the environmental crisis, shed their consumerism and embrace more sober lifestyles, Pope Benedict said on Tuesday.
The pope’s call for more environmental commitments came in his message for the Roman Catholic Church’s annual World Day of Peace, to be marked on Jan 1 and whose theme is “If You Want to Cultivate Peace, Protect Creation.”

“Our present crises — be they economic, food-related, environmental or social — are ultimately also moral crises, and all of them are interrelated.”
He called on all people to “move beyond a purely consumerist mentality” so that they could “rethink the path which we are traveling together” and adapt “a lifestyle marked by sobriety and solidarity” between the haves and the have nots.
Environmental issues deserved the attention of the world community because the were [sic] human rights issues that could influence the right to life, food, health and development.
“Sad to say, it is all too evident that large numbers of people in different countries and areas of our planet are experiencing increased hardship because of the negligence or refusal of many others to exercise responsible stewardship over the environment,” he said.

As a conservationist, I can understand where he is coming from on the issue of squandering natural resources in the name of want and greed, but the socialism aspect of his message is causing me to pull out what little hair I have left on my head. However, due to other obligations this evening, I haven’t the time or the desire to reiterate my thoughts regarding this matter, so allow me to repost what I wrote back then. As a traditionalist Catholic living in America, I consider myself someone who stands apart from many others in this country who are appearing more and more as Catholics in name only or CINOs. I find it appalling, that many of them think most priests are pedophiles, priests should be allowed to marry, women should be priests, all war and capital punishment is evil, God is excepting of homosexuality, and human life doesn’t really begin until childbirth. I also find it equally disturbing when I hear them rag about how Pope Benedict XVI is some right wing Nazi who is unsympathetic to progressive Catholic views. Frankly speaking, Catholicism should have never evolved into its present day format, but what liberal Catholics are failing to realize is that 40 years ago, Fr. Joseph Ratzinger was instrumental in orchestrating the progressive transformation of the Church known as the Second Ecumenical Council of the Vatican, or Vatican II.
Even though Pope Benedict has said that Vatican II did not accomplish what he originally intended, he is determined to hold fast to the new dogmatic principals.
Well, it appears that “God’s Rottweiler” has for some time now been espousing philosophies which leave me a bit unnerved and without proper clarification might cause an even larger rift between conservative capitalists and the socialists within the Church.
The Pope is expected to use his first address to the United Nations to deliver a powerful warning over climate change in a move to adopt protection of the environment as a “moral” cause for the Catholic Church and its billion-strong following.
The New York speech is likely to contain an appeal for sustainable development, and it will follow an unprecedented Encyclical (a message to the wider church) on the subject, senior diplomatic sources have told The Independent.
It will act as the centrepiece of a US visit scheduled for next April – the first by Benedict XVI, and the first Papal visit since 1999 – and round off an environmental blitz at the Vatican, in which the Pope has personally led moves to emphasise green issues based on the belief that climate change is affecting the poorest people on the planet, and the principle that believers have a duty to “protect creation”.

What can I say? I love my Church and I am committed to following its teachings, but this latest directive from the Pope is leaving a horrible taste of sulfur in my mouth. Enviro-mental-illness is typically a leftist agenda and to hear this guy come out in defense of “green” issues in this fashion is literally scaring the bejezus out of me. I mean, WTF? Is my beloved Pope being demoniacally possessed by Algore???
Doesn’t the Pope realize that capitalism is the economic powerhouse which fuels charitable contributions in the first place? Doesn’t the Pope know how his directives will be used by the environmental propagandists to push their godless and socialist agendas? Doesn’t the Pope realize that by working to change the hearts of men consumed by greed, he can promote compassionate capitalism which in turn can help others to help themselves instead of living the rest of their lives as slaves to welfare and entitlement systems of socialism?
Pope Benedict XVI should instead be making it clear that socialism without God at the center is nothing more than atheistic communism which seeks to enslave the human race!
I can understand if he’s concerned that humans should be more charitable and I can understand if he’s concerned that humans should be more conscious of conserving natural resources. As I have said in the past; I am a conservationist, not an environmentalist. The conservationist is mindful of not trashing his surroundings or squandering its resources. I believe in sound and practical environmental management. I am dead set against littering. I also believe in giving back to the earth what I take. But to suggest that I or even the largest corporation on earth can have any impact on altering global climate trends is pure folly! When you think of the levels of carbon dioxide man contributes to our atmosphere compared to that which comes from volcanoes and all the oceans around the world, how can anyone possibly think that by our efforts, we can make any significant change?
Here, allow me to share with you the show that has pissed off the enviro-mental-patients, blown away the theory that man-made CO2 has anything to do with global warming and that all this enviro-mental-madness is absolute bunk…
Not surprisingly, all the nut cases who worship at the church of Algore have issued a fatwah pledging holy jihad against the scientists and the makers of this television series. The internet is full of condemnation over it and the lies being thrown out there to discredit the documentary speak volumes on the character of the people against it.
Ultimately, what I see going on here is another misguided attempt by the Church to increase the numbers of faithful by appealing to the trend of the day. This is not unlike the attempt that was made back 40 years ago when Vatican II was instituted. By loosening the orthodox principles on which our Catechism was founded, you inevitably risk sacrificing the strength of the Church as a whole.

As teh “messiah” and the liberal asshats in Congress continue to twist in the wind and reformulate their proposals in an effort to ram socialized medical reform down the throats of Americans, support for our undocumented leader is falling through the floor. As of December 13th, the approval index for the Obamanation administration has hit an all time low for any president, nearly one year into his 1st term in office.
Does this revelation help to sway our glorious leader and congressional socialists from their failed and lofty goals? Of course not! We are witnessing the arrogance that is the Communist takeover and transformation of our nation by the same ideology that we have been fighting against since the early days of the Bolshevik revolution. They have their agenda and are determined to carry out as much destruction of our beloved country as they can in the short amount of time they have to do it in. They knew that once the general public caught on to their dastardly plans, it wouldn’t be long before a backlash of epic proportions strips them from power once again.
Unfortunately for them, the truth is spreading like wildfire. The barn doors have been opened and the proverbial horse has fled the stables only to be shot down by an increasingly frustrated public. However, despite the overwhelming rejection of their socialist agendas, Obama and his minions in Congress are determined to drag this dead horse over the finish line.
