* Data for vital ‘hockey stick graph’ has gone missing
* There has been no global warming since 1995
* Warming periods have happened before – but NOT due to man-made changes
The academic at the centre of the ‘Climategate’ affair, whose raw data is crucial to the theory of climate change, has admitted that he has trouble ‘keeping track’ of the information.
Colleagues say that the reason Professor Phil Jones has refused Freedom of Information requests is that he may have actually lost the relevant papers.
Professor Jones told the BBC yesterday there was truth in the observations of colleagues that he lacked organisational skills, that his office was swamped with piles of paper and that his record keeping is ‘not as good as it should be’.
The data is crucial to the famous ‘hockey stick graph’ used by climate change advocates to support the theory.
Professor Jones also conceded the possibility that the world was warmer in medieval times than now – suggesting global warming may not be a man-made phenomenon.
And he said that for the past 15 years there has been no ‘statistically significant’ warming…

You know what amazes me even more than the absolute arrogance and determination of the Obama administration to combat AGW by taxing carbon emissions? It’s the fact that the most outspoken critics in the media against this ridiculous hoax are from the same country where PM Margaret Thatcher started this lie about “global warming” in the first place back in 1988 in order to turn public sentiment against the striking coal miner’s union! AND SHE WAS A LEADER OF THE CONSERVATIVE PARTY!!!
Ok, I think I’ve had enough confusion to last me a lifetime. Screw this, I’m going to bed.
From Miami to Maine, Savannah to Seattle, America is caught in an icy grip that one of the U.N.’s top global warming proponents says could mark the beginning of a mini ice age.

Oranges are freezing and millions of tropical fish are dying in Florida, and it could be just the beginning of a decades-long deep freeze, says Professor Mojib Latif, one of the world’s leading climate modelers…

Well, all I gotta say is that we are sooooooo lucky to have such intelligent and responsible elected officials in Washington who would never even think about increasing taxes on gasoline and heating oil and other petroleum based sources of energy. I’m positive they know what effect that would have on our economy and the ability of folks to afford to stay warm in the coming ice age… right? …I mean, right? RIGHT?!?!

President Obama has said his number one goal for 2010 is to create jobs, but the abundance of tax increases in his recently released 2011 budget contradict this objective.
Higher taxes on businesses, upper-income taxpayers, and fossil fuels; an increased death tax; and new taxes to pay for health care would destroy jobs and slow economic recovery. Congress should reject these higher taxes and the rest of its business-killing agenda to speed economic growth and encourage job creation…
*snip*
The tax increases proposed in the budget break down into six broad categories:
1. Higher Taxes on Businesses…
*snip*
2. Higher Taxes on Upper-Income Earners…
*snip*
3. Death Tax Increase…
*snip*
4. Higher Energy Taxes. The budget increases taxes on oil, gas, and coal companies by repealing several tax credits available to these businesses.
These energy companies would undoubtedly pass these tax increases on to customers in the form of higher prices, which will increase costs across the entire economy. And higher taxes on energy would act as yet another deterrent to job creation, since they increase the cost of doing business, which includes hiring new workers and retaining existing ones.
5. Health Care Taxes…
*snip*
6. Other Taxes. The budget includes several other tax increases, including taxing carried interest as regular income, closing the tax gap through stricter enforcement, more taxes on businesses, and making the unemployment insurance surtax permanent.
This long list of tax increases shows that the Administration is desperate for revenue and looking under every rock to squeeze more and more money out of individual taxpayers and businesses…

Oh, well; we better HOPE it doesn’t get much colder than it is now because the only CHANGE we’re going to end up with is what we’ve got left in our pockets after being rapped by this PROGRESSIVE federal gubmint!
WASHINGTON — As millions of people along the East Coast hole up in their snowbound homes, the two sides in the climate-change debate are seizing on the mounting drifts to bolster their arguments.
Skeptics of global warming are using the record-setting snows to mock those who warn of dangerous human-driven climate change — this looks more like global cooling, they taunt.
Most climate scientists respond that the ferocious storms are consistent with forecasts that a heating planet will produce more frequent and more intense weather events.
But some independent climate experts say the blizzards in the Northeast no more prove that the planet is cooling than the lack of snow in Vancouver or the downpours in Southern California prove that it is warming…

AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!
HFS… WILL YOU COMMIES EVER MAKE UP YOUR FREAKIN’ MINDS?!?!
And the asshat beaurocrats in Washington are still in denial…
We’ve only got about 6 inches here in the Mid-Hudson region, but Rodger (The Real King of France) over at Curmudgeonly & Skeptical is living in the bullseye of the blizzard in Maryland. All tolled, he’s probably up to about 4 feet of snow or more from the past 2 storms.
In other news, I’ve been spending the past 2 days trying to figure out why my ‘puter has been crapping out on me. No viruses, but I think it’s a hardware problem. I thought it was the hard drive, but the motherboard may be the culprit. The damned thing just freezes for no good reason and after rebooting, it sometimes doesn’t see the HD. I’ve got a back up box that I’m using to get this out there, but I hope I can get the other one working so I don’t have to sacrifice what little cash I have in order to buy a new MB. Oh well, that’s the story of my life, now isn’t it?

In 2007, the most comprehensive report to date on global warming, issued by the respected United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, made a shocking claim: The Himalayan glaciers could melt away as soon as 2035.
These glaciers provide the headwaters for Asia’s nine largest rivers and lifelines for the more than one billion people who live downstream. Melting ice and snow would create mass flooding, followed by mass drought. The glacier story was reported around the world. Last December, a spokesman for the World Wildlife Fund, an environmental pressure group, warned, “The deal reached at Copenhagen will have huge ramifications for the lives of hundreds of millions of people who are already highly vulnerable due to widespread poverty.” To dramatize their country’s plight, Nepal’s top politicians strapped on oxygen tanks and held a cabinet meeting on Mount Everest.
But the claim was rubbish, and the world’s top glaciologists knew it. It was based not on rigorously peer-reviewed science but on an anecdotal report by the WWF itself. When its background came to light on the eve of Copenhagen, Rajendra Pachauri, the head of the IPCC, shrugged it off. But now, even leading scientists and environmental groups admit the IPCC is facing a crisis of credibility that makes the Climategate affair look like small change.
“The global warming movement as we have known it is dead,” the brilliant analyst Walter Russell Mead says in his blog on The American Interest. It was done in by a combination of bad science and bad politics…

That’s all well and good, but if you think it’s going to change policy in Washington, you don’t know the progressive movement behind the modern Democrat party.

Phil Jones, the beleaguered British climate scientist at the centre of the leaked emails controversy, is facing fresh claims that he sought to hide problems in key temperature data on which some of his work was based.
A Guardian investigation of thousands of emails and documents apparently hacked from the University of East Anglia’s climatic research unit has found evidence that a series of measurements from Chinese weather stations were seriously flawed and that documents relating to them could not be produced.
Jones and a collaborator have been accused by a climate change sceptic and researcher of scientific fraud for attempting to suppress data that could cast doubt on a key 1990 study on the effect of cities on warming – a hotly contested issue.
Today the Guardian reveals how Jones withheld the information requested under freedom of information laws. Subsequently a senior colleague told him he feared that Jones’s collaborator, Wei-Chyung Wang of the University at Albany, had “screwed up”.
The revelations on the inadequacies of the 1990 paper do not undermine the case that humans are causing climate change, and other studies have produced similar findings. But they do call into question the probity of some climate change science.
The apparent attempts to cover up problems with temperature data from the Chinese weather stations provide the first link between the email scandal and the UN’s embattled climate science body, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, as a paper based on the measurements was used to bolster IPCC statements about rapid global warming in recent decades.
Don’t put those cold weather clothes in storage just yet.
Punxsutawney Phil, the internationally known weather prognosticating groundhog, saw his shadow this morning and predicted six more weeks of winter.
Thousands gathered on Gobbler’s Knob in Jefferson County to await the groundhog’s annual prediction. The Punxsutawney Groundhog Club said Phil has seen his shadow 98 times since 1887, hasn’t seen it 15 times, and there are no records for nine years.
Officially, the vernal equinox occurs at 1:32 p.m. March 20, marking the arrival of spring in the northern hemisphere — six weeks, four days from today.
Back in September of 2007, I was alarmed at the language coming from the Vatican on the issue of global warming. Well, today there is news of the Pontiff weighing in on the issue once again, just in time for the gathering at Copenhagen.
VATICAN CITY (Reuters) – Industrialized nations must recognize their responsibility for the environmental crisis, shed their consumerism and embrace more sober lifestyles, Pope Benedict said on Tuesday.
The pope’s call for more environmental commitments came in his message for the Roman Catholic Church’s annual World Day of Peace, to be marked on Jan 1 and whose theme is “If You Want to Cultivate Peace, Protect Creation.”
*snip*
“Our present crises — be they economic, food-related, environmental or social — are ultimately also moral crises, and all of them are interrelated.”
He called on all people to “move beyond a purely consumerist mentality” so that they could “rethink the path which we are traveling together” and adapt “a lifestyle marked by sobriety and solidarity” between the haves and the have nots.
Environmental issues deserved the attention of the world community because the were [sic] human rights issues that could influence the right to life, food, health and development.
“Sad to say, it is all too evident that large numbers of people in different countries and areas of our planet are experiencing increased hardship because of the negligence or refusal of many others to exercise responsible stewardship over the environment,” he said.
Once again, I am beside myself. As a conservationist, I can understand where he is coming from on the issue of squandering natural resources in the name of want and greed, but the socialism aspect of his message is causing me to pull out what little hair I have left on my head. However, due to other obligations this evening, I haven’t the time or the desire to reiterate my thoughts regarding this matter, so allow me to repost what I wrote back then. For the most part, my song remains the same. For those of you who didn’t get a chance to read it the first time, please read it – especially if you are a brother or sister Catholic…

As a traditionalist Catholic living in America, I consider myself someone who stands apart from many others in this country who are appearing more and more as Catholics in name only or CINOs. I find it appalling, that many of them think most priests are pedophiles, priests should be allowed to marry, women should be priests, all war and capital punishment is evil, God is excepting of homosexuality, and human life doesn’t really begin until childbirth. I also find it equally disturbing when I hear them rag about how Pope Benedict XVI is some right wing Nazi who is unsympathetic to progressive Catholic views. Frankly speaking, Catholicism should have never evolved into its present day format, but what liberal Catholics are failing to realize is that 40 years ago, Fr. Joseph Ratzinger was instrumental in orchestrating the progressive transformation of the Church known as the Second Ecumenical Council of the Vatican, or Vatican II.
Even though Pope Benedict has said that Vatican II did not accomplish what he originally intended, he is determined to hold fast to the new dogmatic principals.
Well, it appears that “God’s Rottweiler” has for some time now been espousing philosophies which leave me a bit unnerved and without proper clarification might cause an even larger rift between conservative capitalists and the socialists within the Church.
The Pope is expected to use his first address to the United Nations to deliver a powerful warning over climate change in a move to adopt protection of the environment as a “moral” cause for the Catholic Church and its billion-strong following.
The New York speech is likely to contain an appeal for sustainable development, and it will follow an unprecedented Encyclical (a message to the wider church) on the subject, senior diplomatic sources have told The Independent.
It will act as the centrepiece of a US visit scheduled for next April – the first by Benedict XVI, and the first Papal visit since 1999 – and round off an environmental blitz at the Vatican, in which the Pope has personally led moves to emphasise green issues based on the belief that climate change is affecting the poorest people on the planet, and the principle that believers have a duty to “protect creation”.
*snip*
What can I say? I love my Church and I am committed to following its teachings, but this latest directive from the Pope is leaving a horrible taste of sulfur in my mouth. Enviro-mental-illness is typically a leftist agenda and to hear this guy come out in defense of “green” issues in this fashion is literally scaring the bejezus out of me. I mean, WTF? Is my beloved Pope being demoniacally possessed by Algore???
Doesn’t the Pope realize that capitalism is the economic powerhouse which fuels charitable contributions in the first place? Doesn’t the Pope know how his directives will be used by the environmental propagandists to push their godless and socialist agendas? Doesn’t the Pope realize that by working to change the hearts of men consumed by greed, he can promote compassionate capitalism which in turn can help others to help themselves instead of living the rest of their lives as slaves to welfare and entitlement systems of socialism?
Pope Benedict XVI should instead be making it clear that socialism without God at the center is nothing more than atheistic communism which seeks to enslave the human race!
I can understand if he’s concerned that humans should be more charitable and I can understand if he’s concerned that humans should be more conscious of conserving natural resources. As I have said in the past; I am a conservationist, not an environmentalist. The conservationist is mindful of not trashing his surroundings or squandering its resources. I believe in sound and practical environmental management. I am dead set against littering. I also believe in giving back to the earth what I take. But to suggest that I or even the largest corporation on earth can have any impact on altering global climate trends is pure folly! When you think of the levels of carbon dioxide man contributes to our atmosphere compared to that which comes from volcanoes and all the oceans around the world, how can anyone possibly think that by our efforts, we can make any significant change?
Here, allow me to share with you the show that has pissed off the enviro-mental-patients, blown away the theory that man-made CO2 has anything to do with global warming and that all this enviro-mental-madness is absolute bunk…
Not surprisingly, all the nut cases who worship at the church of Algore have issued a fatwah pledging holy jihad against the scientists and the makers of this television series. The internet is full of condemnation over it and the lies being thrown out there to discredit the documentary speak volumes on the character of the people against it.
Ultimately, what I see going on here is another misguided attempt by the Church to increase the numbers of faithful by appealing to the trend of the day. This is not unlike the attempt that was made back 40 years ago when Vatican II was instituted. By loosening the orthodox principles on which our Catechism was founded, you inevitably risk sacrificing the strength of the Church as a whole.
As a perfect compliment to this this posting, please take a few minutes and proceed through the following link in order for me to tell you what I see happening in the near future and how it links the the content of the material you just finished reading.
It appears that the UN is employing the same tactics used by the SIEU to silence “right-wing” dissenters at this past summer’s town hall meetings. I hope this phucking video goes viral! These people are serious authoritarian scumbags to the point of being downright evil! If this video does not send a shiver down your spine, I don’t know what will short of an atomic device leveling a large metropolitan area.
A mysterious light display appearing over Norway last night has left thousands of residents in the north of the country baffled.
Witnesses from Trøndelag to Finnmark compared the amazing sight to anything from a Russian rocket to a meteor or a shock wave – although no one appears to have mentioned UFOs yet.
The phenomenon began when what appeared to be a blue light seemed to soar up from behind a mountain. It stopped mid-air, then began to circulate.
Within seconds a giant spiral had covered the entire sky. Then a green-blue beam of light shot out from its centre – lasting for ten to twelve minutes before disappearing completely.
The Norwegian Meteorological Institute was flooded with telephone calls after the light storm – which astronomers have said did not appear to have been connected to the aurora, or Northern Lights, so common in that area of the world.
The mystery deepened tonight as Russia denied it had been conducting missile tests in the area…

Coincidentally, it is the eve before teh “messiah” gives his acceptance speech before the Nobel committee upon receiving the Nobel peace prize… that’s right folks… in Noway.
Coincidentally, it happens to be the occasion where teh “messiah” is supposed to disclose to the world the United States’ knowledge of the existence of extra-terrestrial life.
Coincidentally, it happens to be the week before teh “messiah” jumps over to Denmark to meet with fellow moonbats on how to rape the world’s economy using global warming scare tactics. Chicken Little would be proud.
Wait a minute… where have I seen that spiral in the sky before?
AH YES… How could I forget!

In today’s Post-Standard, one reader says Christmas traditions do harm to our planet:
To the Editor:
I believe we should think about doing away with Christmas. Our planet is in big trouble, and giving up Christmas would help to save it in many ways.
Not having to do extra driving, looking for gifts, would save on gas and therefore on carbon dioxide emissions.
Millions of trees would not be cut down, allowing them to grow large and to eat up the carbon dioxide which contributes to global warming.
The land normally used for Christmas tree farms could be planted with fast-growing hardwood forests to suck up even more CO2.
No Christmas lights or decorations would mean fewer utilities would be used, therefore saving on our natural resources.
There wouldn’t be so much stuff to swell our already fast-expanding landfills.
I think people would be calmer, happier and less stressed if they didn’t have to deal with the holiday. Many who live alone or have no family ties get depressed around Christmastime. There are even increased numbers of suicides. Not celebrating Christmas would mean folks could save money and not go further into debt buying presents that the recipients didn’t even want or need.
Those wishing to celebrate Christ could have their religious and/or family get-togethers and remember Him for whom Christmas was named. It seems like we’ve gotten rather far away from that.
Two conservative screenwriters say Al Gore should be stripped of his Oscar in light of the global warming questions raised by leaked e-mails out of a British research center.
Just days ahead of an international climate change conference, global warming guru and former Vice President Al Gore has been hit by an inconvenient scandal — one that’s reverberated all the way back to Hollywood.
Two conservative screenwriters say Gore should be stripped of his Oscar in light of the global warming questions raised by leaked e-mails out of a British research center.
The former vice president earned the Oscar in 2007 for his climate change manifesto “An Inconvenient Truth.” He later went on to earn a Nobel Peace Prize and become one of the world’s leading authorities on global warming.
But Roger Simon and Lionel Chetwynd, both members of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, put out a statement Thursday calling for the Academy to take it all back in light of the controversy skeptics have dubbed Climate-Gate.
“I personally call for the Academy to rescind this Oscar,” Simon said. “In the history of the Academy … not to my knowledge has an Oscar ever been rescinded. … I think they should rescind this one.”
Though their demand will almost certainly not be met, it marks the latest effort by conservatives to draw attention to the controversy in the run-up to an international climate change conference next week in Copenhagen — where Gore just canceled a lecture he was supposed to deliver…
*snip*
You folks know damned well he will never give up his Oscar anymore willingly than he would be prepared to give up his crusade against free market capitalism by means of junk science.
WASHINGTON (AP) – Top White House science officials defended the validity of global warming research against repeated Republican attacks Wednesday that cited leaked e-mails from some climate researchers.
The e-mails from a British university’s climate center were obtained by computer hackers and released last month. Climate change skeptics contend the messages reveal that researchers manipulated and suppressed data and stifled dissent…
Amid an international climate-change scandal involving hacked e-mails just days before a major U.N. climate summit of world leaders, it is instructive to profile top White House officials who are drafting President Obama’s climate policy.
Some of the officials include known supporters of socialism who have advocated using environmental activism to spread America’s wealth.
‘Climate czar’ Carol Browner
Carol Browner’s official title is assistant to the president for energy and climate change. She formerly served as administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency administrator during the Clinton administration and was Florida secretary of the environment.
Browner was a member of the Commission for a Sustainable World Society at Socialist International, a group that Discover the Networks reports is the “umbrella for 170 ’social democratic, socialist and labor parties’ in 55 countries.”
The Washington Times explained Browner’s group called for “global governance” and asserts rich countries must shrink their economies to address climate change.
*snip*
‘Regulatory czar’ Cass Sunstein
According to Cass Sunstein, administrator of the White House Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs, global climate change is primarily the fault of U.S. environmental behavior and can, therefore, be used as a mechanism to redistribute the country’s wealth.
The Obama czar penned a 2007 University of Chicago Law School paper – obtained and reviewed by WND – in which he debated whether America should pay “justice” to the world by entering into a compensation agreement that would be a net financial loss for the U.S.
Sunstein leans on the side of such an agreement, particularly a worldwide carbon tax that would heavily tariff the U.S.
A prominent theme throughout Sunstein’s 39-page paper, “Climate Change Justice,” maintains U.S. wealth should be redistributed to poorer nations. He uses terms such as “distributive justice” several times. The paper was written with fellow attorney Eric A. Posner
“It is even possible that desirable redistribution is more likely to occur through climate change policy than otherwise, or to be accomplished more effectively through climate policy than through direct foreign aid,” wrote Sunstein.
He posited: “We agree that if the United States does spend a great deal on emissions reductions as part of an international agreement, and if the agreement does give particular help to disadvantaged people, considerations of distributive justice support its action, even if better redistributive mechanisms are imaginable.
“If the United States agrees to participate in a climate change agreement on terms that are not in the nation’s interest, but that help the world as a whole, there would be no reason for complaint, certainly if such participation is more helpful to poor nations than conventional foreign-aid alternatives,” he wrote.
Sunstein maintains: “If we care about social welfare, we should approve of a situation in which a wealthy nation is willing to engage in a degree of self-sacrifice when the world benefits more than that nation loses.”
*snip*
‘Science czar’ John Holdren
Holdren is assistant to the president for science and technology, director of the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, and co-chairman of the President’s Council of Advisors on Science and Technology.
He has been a longtime climate-change alarmist who has advocated ideas such as enforcing limits to world population growth.
Holdren’s name was in the e-mails hacked from the Climatic Research Unit at East Anglia University in the U.K., which show that some climate researchers declined to share their data with fellow scientists, conspired to rig data and sought to keep researchers with dissenting views from publishing in leading scientific journals.
FrontPageMag.com noted Holdren has endorsed “surrender of sovereignty” to “a comprehensive Planetary Regime” that would control all the world’s resources, direct global redistribution of wealth, oversee the “de-development” of the West, control a World Army and taxation regime, and enforce world population limits.
*snip*
…and just what make us think that more than 3000 emails and documents exposing global warming as the biggest scam ever perpetrated in the history of the civilized world will stop these criminals from carrying out their sinister agenda???
